HELP NEEDED FOR SOME SMOKIN' PORK

***ATTENTION***
Baseball Parents-- Varsity, JV and Middle School

If you would like to help prepare the Boston Butts for our fundraiser, we could use a few extra hands this Thursday. You can come anytime after noon. We have 200 butts that we need to get rubbed and wrapped to get on the smokers (gloves, rub and foil will be provided). We will be at the home of MichaelandKristal Tyler on Sandlin Rd. If you need directions, private message me or the Tylers.

I'm tagging as many as I can but I don't know everyone, especially on the Middle School team and some of the JV.  Please help tag and/or share this with as many players and parents as you know.

There is a lot of work that goes into raising the needed funds for our players and the Elkmont baseball program.  Any help or time you can give to make this fundraiser a success is appreciated!!

A huge THANK YOU to Derek Sheats and Erika Franklin Sheats (and the friends that they have

helping them) for doing this for us!!!

WELCOME TO THE ELKMONT BASEBALL BLOG

Baseball/softball season starts this week in the state of Alabama.  To help you keep up with the fast changing world of Elkmont gloves and bats (very unpredictable due to weather), the Elkmont Baseball Blog is part of  the family of blogs dedicated to all things Elkmont.   Of course, the high school and middle school teams are the heart of the blog but it has a special place to highlight our youth leagues as well.
If you are a parent or coach of a youth league team, please send in pictures, articles, announcements or schedules dealing with your team.  We love our young Red Devils or Lady Red Devils too.  Please submit information to the blog at elkmont1@charter.net or facebook message Hill Spirit.

HELP WANTED: PITCH COUNTER

The Red Devils need some help.  The "powers that be" now require an official pitch counter.  Elkmont doesn't have extra coaches for this so a volunteer is needed.  Hill Spirit knows there is a "number crunching" volunteer out there that can't wait to share his/her gift by taking on this needed service opportunity.

Coach Standridge is waiting for that special person to step up.  Perhaps this Saturday during the cleanup day, you could let him know so he won't stress and will be able to mark that off his "to do" list.

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL CLEANUP DAY

The Elkmont Red Devils baseball will be throwing the first pitch, February 20.

The weather for outdoor work is always iffy this time of year.  The work day was moved to January 28 due to rain last Saturday. The teams are trying get the field and locker room ready.

You are invited to help out with this preseason project.  They will be meeting at 10:30 AM at the high school baseball field. We need everyone to come out and help. There aren't any magic baseball fairies who get the field ready, only us Elkmont folk make that happen.  Bring rakes, shovels, pitchforks, and blowers if you have them and join the teams as they get ready for the 2017 season.
