RED DEVILS SPLIT DOUBLEHEADER

The varsity Red Devils traveled to Huntsville for a doubleheader with the Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats yesterday

The Wildcats captured the lead early to defeat the Red Devils, 15-1. Jaevan Jackson had Elkmont’s lone hit.

Regrouping for the second game of the doubleheader, Elkmont held off Westminster Christian for a 8-7 win.

 

Patrick Jobman drove in 4 runs on 3 hits for the Red Devils. Jackson Cook contributed 2 hits to the effort. Hunter Pitman had 4 walks followed by Brady Garris with 2.   

 

Brett Parker pitched 4.1 innings with 7 strike outs. Jackson Cook closed out the final 2.2 innings.



The Red Devils go into this week with a 3-4 record. The varsity and JV will be playing at Rogers on Monday.

In West Limestone's varsity opener, Drew Beddingfield hit a walk-off grand slam ending the contest in six innings, 14-2. Elkmont's Jason Cook, Braden Miller and Ben Yarborough all took a shift on the mound. The Red Devils' record now stands at 2-3.

The visiting Trojans scored four in the sixth and added one in the seventh to take the victory. Brady Garris doubled and singled to lead Elkmont. Hunter Pitman drove in two runs and scored two runs.

JV: Elkmont lost to the Trojans, 12-4.

The middle school Lady Devils started their season with a bang.  Picked up two wins against Hatton in their doubleheader yesterday!!
