RED DEVILS SENIOR NIGHT
The last chapter of the Class of 2017 is being written in the next two weeks and it won't be complete without recognizing our outstanding baseball team and its seniors.
Senior Night was April 13. Not only did Elkmont sew up a spot in the state playoffs with their win over Clements that night but we had the opportunity to say goodbye to our seniors.

Items Given:
A photo collection with highlights of the season for each player.
A small jar that each player has filled with dirt from their position.
As you can see, we
are under construction here at EHS. A new football stadium is being
constructed and soon we will also have a new baseball field. During
this construction, the large trees that surrounded our fields up here
had to be removed. Those trees, which were over 75 years old, saw many
wins and losses for Elkmont High School. They saw players slide into
home, strike out and many bad calls by umpires.
As a special gift to
these seniors, miniature bats were specially made out of these trees for
these young men. The trees may be gone, but the memories of them will
live on with the Class of 2017.
