DECATUR DAILY 1A-4A SOFTBALL TEAM

FIRST TEAM

Catcher: Brandi Bentley
Hit .460 with eight homers. Signed with Calhoun Lady Warhawks.



Middle Infielder: Haven Kirby 
Finished with a .355 batting average with 23 RBIs.



Outfielder: Rebekah Inman 
Led the area with 17 homers while posting a .481 batting average with 73 RBIs.

TOURNAMENT HAPPENINGS - 11/12 BOYS


Congratulations to the 11 & 12 Elkmont 1's undefeated season. They remained undefeated in the championship June 7 winning, 12-1.  Way to go, boys. So proud of all of you.


TOURNAMENT HAPPENINGS - 10U


10U County Championship Game.  The Clements Thunder beat our Elkmont Lady Red Devils, 9-6.


Our season has come to an end. We didn't get the BIG W, but we played with heart, soul and class. Each girl has accomplished so much this year . So proud of everyone of them!!!
Can't say enough of about our coaching staff either, not only did they teach our girls the fundamentals of softball but also how to play with class and style. Thank you so much Greg Broadway, Mark Ebert, Tracy Hyatt Legacy and Doug Hamlin.

TOURNAMENT HAPPENINGS -6U


So proud of these girls. They won the 6U county tournament, June 4. They came to play! Each one of them improved and they are all such good teammates. Go Devils!

TOURNAMENT HAPPENINGS - 12U

It's been a great season but Elkmont 12u lost to West 2, 5-2. We finished 4th in regular season and finished 4th in the tournament! Couldnt be prouder of girls! !!

The Lady Devils beat Clements 1, 14-3.

Elkmont lost against ABS, 7-3. Lets go girls!! We got this!

TOURNAMENT HAPPENINGS - 5 & 6


We may not have won the championship but 2nd place ain't too shabby!!! Elkmont 5/6 boys played their hearts out all season long!!! Way to go boys!!!!!!

Elkmont 1 beat East 3, 18 -13!!!! They played their tired little hearts out!!!! We play again Monday at 7!!!!! Way to go boys!!!!

Oh my goodness!!!! Elkmont 1 just beat undefeated West 1, 16-15!!!!!! That team finished 1st in the county and has been undefeated during the tournament and we just beat them!!! Way to go boys!!!!!!!

10U LIMESTONE COUNTY TOURNEY:

Another triumphant W by our Lady Red Devils 1. We will be playing the Championship game tonight. We won against a tough competitor and brought our A game!!! They beat Clements Thunder, 8-3. So proud as always of our girls. 

Another awesome W for our Elkmont Lady Red Devils against Ardmore 2,14-2

1st game in the bag with a beautiful W! Our girls have come such a long way this season, they play with so much heart and soul. We all as parents and spectators couldn't be any prouder of our girls.
Elkmont Lady Red Devils 10u 1 beat West 2, 13-2.



So our amazing young ladies fell short on the W in the first game but looking to the next. They played AMAZING as usual, so proud of each and everyone of these talented young ladies.

2016 DECATUR DAILY ALL AREA BASEBALL TEAM

The Decatur Daily has released its All Area 2016 baseball team, June 4.  Elkmont has two players that made the list.  Congrads on great individual seasons.

MIF: Jordan Nelson, Elkmont, Senior: Led the Red Devils with a .412 batting average while stealing 22 bases.

Most Elkmont teams have finished their seasons but may be playing in tournaments.  If your player in involved in travel ball, we want to read about that too.  For travel ball team posts, send team name, age group, scores, summary of tournament results and names of Elkmont players.  Of course, pictures are fantastic to add as well.


Boys
Elkmont 1 5/6 beat Lindsay Lane, 17-11. Boys play again Thursday at 5:30!

Girls 
Elkmont 12u beat Ardmore 2, 6-4. Girls play again Saturday at 10.
