LUNACHIX TAKES TWO FROM CLEMENTS
The Elkmont 12 and under Lunachix softball team played a doubleheader against Clements yesterday. This added 2 more wins to Elkmont's record. The first game was 11-9 and the second 11-7. We had great hits, excellent base running, and several excellent plays in the field. Ending the season with 2 more wins builds up some confidence and self esteem going into next week's tournament.

ELKMONT SOFTBALL STILL UNDEFEATED
Elkmont's 12 and under softball team #1 played at Creekside today. Stephanie Bates had had a great pitching game and the team backed her up with solid fielding but they were still behind going into the 6th inning. With two outs, Elkmont's Bates was at the plate, down 3-1, last inning, playing for the number one seed in the league tournament, bases loaded, full count, and she nails a line drive up the middle over second base and we end up winning 6-3!!
These girls have had an outstanding season; ranked number one in the team standings and still undefeated. They beat the 2nd ranked team in the league today.
