WHAT ABOUT ELKMONT BASEBALL?

The season has already started on the Hilltop.  The Decatur Daily released its area baseball preview today.  You can pick up a hard copy from the newspaper box at the Elkmont gas station and the Pig.

Coach: Robert Reece
Last year's coach, Zach Standridge took over the East Lawrence head job.

Preview:
Reece takes over as head coach. Last year the Red Devils advanced to the third round of the state playoffs. Senior shortstop Hunter Pitman is one of the few returning starters along with sophomore pitcher Brett Parker. Also back is senior Braden Miller, who is recovering from a knee injury during football season. Two of the more talented younger players are freshman Preston Robinson and eighth-grader Ryan Boyd.

Area: The Red Devils compete in Class 3A, Area 15 with West Morgan, East Lawrence and Clements.
