GAMES BETWEEN THE RAINDROPS

Since the Elkmont baseball and softball season started, almost every game has been cancelled due to rain.  A few have managed to be be played between all the rainouts. These are the results of March 7-14.


The varsity softball played March 6 in an all day round robin tournament held at Elkmont. 
The Lady Devils beat:
East Limestone     1-0
Madison County   7-0
Sheffield                 4-1
Ardmore won the tournament by beat Elkmont, 8-0


THURSDAY:
The middle school softball team got a win from West Morgan, 15-0 

Varsity Softball;

West Morgan 8, Elkmont 4: Lexie Green drove in three runs as fifth-ranked (3A) West Morgan topped Elkmont.  Stephanie Peek led Elkmont with two hits and two RBIs, and Dakota McCurley added an RBI.



Elkmont Varsity Baseball played East Limestone in a double header.
Game 1:  
East Limestone 9;  Elkmont 0
Pugh got the pitching win, holding Elkmont to two hits while striking out one in three innings. Hunter Brazeal and Michael Tyler had one hit each for Elkmont.

Game 2: 
East Limestone 10, Elkmont 1
Jordan Nelson led Elkmont at the plate, finishing 2-for-3 with a home run.

FRIDAY:
Varsity Baseball @ Ardmore
Ardmore 11; Elkmont 4


SATURDAY:
Our varsity softball team was at the James Clements Tournament in Decatur. The Lady Devils beat Huntsville Catholic, 17-0.  The game was called after three innings. Our dedicated team were in Decatur on a "wait and see" status for 10 hours  before the tournament was cancelled.


Hoping for a full slate of games this week for our softball and baseball teams.
