ELKMONT ON THE DIAMONDS

The Elkmont baseball and softball teams are well into their seasons.  How are they doing so far this week?  Hillspirit isn't receiving that many reports so diamond results are sparse.

March 7
Baseball:
The Red Devils played Westminster in a doubleheader home stand.

Elkmont led until the sixth inning when Westminster put five runs on the board giving them a 7-6 win.

In the second game of the double header, Elkmont High School couldn't stop Westminster's seventh inning rally for a 8-7 loss.


Softball:
The middle school Lady Devils burned past Lindsay Lane, 13-1.

 
Elkmont's JV played Christian Academy (don't have a clue which Christian Academy) and chalked up a win.  Score not reported

March 8, Tuesday 
Baseball: 
Elkmont hosted Athens Bible School. In the first game of the double header, the Trojans won 19-6.  The Red Devils fans saw their team rally back in the second game as they outlasted ABS in high-scoring affair, 11-9.

Softball: 
Varsity
West Limestone 5, Elkmont 0


The Middle school Lady Devils plastered the Wildcats, 14-3.
