Elkmont parents & coaches:

Limestone County Girls Softball Association

USSSA has voted to add a 15U and 18U league this year. (Instead of 14U). If anyone is interested please let us know ASAP.

Baseball & Softball signups will be February 2nd from 10am-3pm in the Elkmont old gym and February 7th 5:30-8pm at the Elkmont ballpark concession stand. 

If you are interested in coaching, you must turn your name in no later than January 23rd to the appropriate commissioner. For softball notify Scott Cook and for baseball notify Daniel Clem at 256-431-7419.

If any of you are planning on COACHING in Limestone County, whether it's assistant coaching or dugout mom/dad, please remember you are required to have a background check. Authorization forms are on lcgsa.net that have to be filled out and turned into to us along with fee by March 10th for anysoftball coach, etc. We always post updates to the LCGSA facebook page. If you have any questions please let me know. 

WANT TO PLAY BASEBALL?

The Red Devils have already starting throwing the baseball to get ready for the 2013 season.  The baseball season is short in Alabama.  Games will start the middle of February and wind down the middle of April as state playoffs begin.

Elkmont has three teams, middle school, JV and varsity.  If you would like to play this year, contact Coach Sean Holt for more information and necessary forms.

Thoughts from Coach Holt:

• I cannot and will not guarantee playing time.  I can only promise to be fair when considering your talent and how much you play.  Playing time will be based upon attitude, effort, ability and attendance.
• You will need to have a pair of black cleats and black sleeves for this season (long sleeved shirt to wear under uniform such as UnderArmour or Nike, etc.)
• The program will continue to buy many things to help provide the nicest and best for our baseball program.  Because of this, I need you to sell at least $175 worth of chicken stew.  This is our only fundraiser and it is important to the financial well-being of our baseball program.  
• Please sign up to work the chicken stew on February 18.  Once again, this is important to our program and we need workers to make this a success.  Go to fundraiser tab for more information    Chairwoman:  Heather Hobbs 
• I have given you an order sheet if you want to order any items at this time.  I plan on calling in the first order on Friday.  Please visit our team store page on this blog for items and prices.
• I need to create a list of emails and phone numbers so I can have a way to contact parents and players during the season.  Send your information in as soon as possible: COACH HOLT
• There will be a workday this Saturday, February 11, to make final preparations for the season.  Please come around 10 a.m. and dress warmly.  It is supposed to be sunny but cool.
