East Limestone took control with six runs in the bottom of the second
inning and put the game out of reach with eight more in the bottom of
the fourth. Eli Hobbs and Brady Garris each had a hit in the loss for Elkmont.

The Athens Bible School Trojans played on the hilltop in a double header, February 29. The first game was close but the Trojans were able to hold on to the lead to win 9-7.
In the second game of the double header, Elkmont had 3 hits, 2 of these were by Ethan Wilson but it wasn't enough. ABS turned in an error free game with six hits for the win, 9-1.
The top seeded Lady Devils softball team is hosting the area tournament. Games will be played today and tomorrow.

GAME 1
A tight game was decided in the sixth inning as Elkmont Red Devils fell to the Ardmore Tigers 8-5 in seven innings on Thursday at Blake Jones Field.
Ardmore jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the
first. Embrey kicked things off for Ardmore with a single. A groundout
by Garrett Miller then moved Embrey from first to second.
It
didn't take long for Elkmont to answer as it scored three runs of its
own in the first. The Red Devils scored on an RBI single by Jared Bailey, a
wild pitch, and an RBI single by Hunter Pitman.
Elkmont matched
its one-run fourth inning with one more in the fifth. In the fourth, the boys in red scored on a solo home run by Thomas.
Ardmore pushed
across two runs in both the fifth inning and the sixth. In the fifth,
Ardmore scored on a two-run single by Brandon Jones, scoring Ryan Green
and Hogan. The Tigers stayed on top until the final out after taking
the lead in the sixth, scoring two runs on an RBI double by Embrey and a
groundout by Miller.
Ardmore's Seth Underwood got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He allowed three runs over two innings. He struck out four, walked five and surrendered two hits. The Tigers were sparked by Jason Hogan and Kenneth Embrey, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs. Ardmore closer Shane Montgomery put away the final six outs to record the save.
Phillip Norman took the loss for Elkmont. He allowed seven runs in 5 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.
GAME 2
The Elkmont Red Devils fell 10-8 to the Ardmore Tigers in seven innings in the second game of the double header despite racking up eight hits and eight runs.
The top of the first saw Ardmore take an early lead, 2-0. Kenneth Embrey got things going for the Tigers with a single. A single by Jason Hogan then moved Embrey from first to third. Brandon Jones doubled, plating Embrey and Hogan.
Elkmont quickly matched Ardmore's strong inning with a two-run inning of its own in the first fueled by a Jared Bailey two-run home run.
The Tigers didn't relinquish the lead after scoring one run in the second inning when it scored on an error.
Ardmore scored two runs in the third inning, and then followed it up with two more in the fourth. In the third, they scored on an error, allowing Will Turner to cross home plate.
Will Martin started the inning with a single, plating Jones.
After pushing across three runs in the bottom of the fifth, the Red Devils faced just a 7-5 deficit. An RBI single by Aron Moss and a two-run error triggered Elkmont's comeback.
The Tigers tacked on another three runs in the seventh. A clutch hit into a fielder's choice scored Nathan Emerson to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Lance Perry's single, scoring Shane Montgomery and Garrett Miller.
Three runs in the bottom of the seventh helped Elkmont close its deficit to 10-8. An RBI single by Moss, an RBI double by Eli Hobbs, and a groundout by Hunter Pitman fueled the Red Devils' comeback. Ardmore closed the game out when Nelson Smith got Hunter Brazeal to fly out.
Nathan
Rogers recorded the win for Ardmore. He allowed two runs over four
innings. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered two hits.
Jared Bailey racked up two RBIs on one hit for Elkmont. He homered in the first inning.
Hunter
Pitman couldn't get it done on the rubber for Elkmont, taking a loss.
He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed
five runs.
GAME 1:
Elkmont fell 11-0 to Brooks on Monday, March 30. Brooks went up for good in the first, scoring three runs on an RBI single by Graham.
The Lions tacked on another five runs in the third. An error scored
Garrett Brewer and Mathew Moore to get Brooks on the board in the fourth inning.

Tanner Graham recorded the win for Brooks. He tossed five innings of shutout ball. Graham struck out nine, walked two and gave up two hits. Brooks was sparked by Riley Phillips and Jonathan Coleman, who teamed up for two hits and three RBIs.
Phillip Norman ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed nine runs in three innings, walked five and struck out two.

Elkmont collected six hits, but Elkmont fell 10-0 to Brooks on Monday. The game was never in doubt after the fifth, as Brooks scored 10 runs on
a two-run error, a three-run home run by Garrett Brewer, and three
singles.
Tucker Wilsdorf got the win for Brooks. He tossed one inning of shutout ball. Wilsdorf struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit. Brooks was sparked by Tanner Graham and Jonathan Coleman, who teamed up for four hits and four RBIs.
Taylor Thomas took the loss for Elkmont. He allowed seven runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked five and struck out one.
MARCH 31
Brooks traveled to Elkmont for tonight's game. Weather blew in and play was called due to lightning in the area. The Lions took the win, 7-0 after 3 innings.
