SENIOR RED DEVILS BEAT ARDMORE FOR LAST TIME

With a win in football and several in basketball, the Seniors had one last try to add baseball to their list of sports in which they have beat Ardmore in their last year.  The Red Devils hosted the Ardmore Tigers, April 9.

The Tigers came out of the box swinging, collected 5 hits including a home run and quickly took a 4 - 0 lead in the first inning.  Ben Ferguson stayed focused on the mound, ignoring the score as he continued to throw strikes for five more innings.  The Red Devils defense regrouped and only allowed three runs for  the rest of the game.   Two of those came on the back of a fourth inning Ardmore home run.

Elkmont chipped away at the Tiger lead throughout the game and never gave up.  Scoring two runs in the sixth inning, the Red Devils pulled ahead 8 - 7.  Skyler Gant came in to close the game out in the seventh inning in three batters.  Final score.  8 - 7.   Goal achieved......very satisfied seniors
