RED DEVILS STILL LOOKING FOR CONSISTENCY

The varsity Red Devils' lack of consistency continues to make them a very unpredictable team.  A few games this season have shown a very good team that can compete with top ranked programs but other games have illustrated the inexperience at the varsity level and lack of pitcher development in previous years (high school program).  The Tanner game, March 23, was one of the latter as the Red Devils committed at least 5 errors and lost 14 – 0.

However, only the area games count and hopefully the Red Devils will bring their “A” game, March 26 – 27, to the Area Series vs. the Danville Hawks.

The Batting Stats:      Elkmont - 4 hits, 1 walk, 2 strike outs

·      Bryant Wales – pitched 1 inning; 2 balks, 2 hit batters, 1 walk

·      Michel Haney –1 hit batter, 2 walks and 2 hits,

·      Jacob Blenkinsopp - pitched 1 inning, 2 strikeouts, 1 hit
